App attribution

The HTTP-Referer and X-Title headers, and the public Apps ranking they feed.

Two optional headers tell us which app a request came from: HTTP-Referer, your app's URL, and X-Title, its display name. Both are read by the gateway and stripped before forwarding. Apps that send both are listed publicly on the Apps page, ranked by 30-day token volume, once they pass a small traffic floor. The listing is opt-in: a Referer without an X-Title is never listed, and neither is a local or IP address.
